100 g Harvest Gourmet Stir-Fry Mince, thawed & loosened
200 g Onion, sliced
10 g Coriander powder
10 g Ginger, minced
10g Cumin powder
2g Fenugreek powder
10g Dried chilli flakes
15g Coriander leaves, chopped
10g Garlic powder
10g Salt
150g Dried Dhall Gram flour or Chickpea flour
15g Baking Soda or Bicarbonate of Soda
20g Cornstarch
150g Water
Extra Oil for deep-frying
Freshly chopped coriander leaves or Spring onion

Onion Bhaji Recipe


In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients for Onion Bhaji Mix except extra oil. Mix and combine well.

Heat extra oil for deep-frying in a wok to 180C. Add a small piece of the onion bhaji mix to test and see if it bubbles hot.

Using a tablespoon, scoop spoon-full of PBMS Onion Bhaji Mix into hot oil and deep-fry each side for around 2 minutes until golden brown in color.

Transfer from hot oil and allow to drain dry on a piece of kitchen towel to absorb excess oil.

Garnish with coriander leaves or spring onion. Consume whilst hot and crispy with MAGGI Chilli Sauce.
